Canadian baby boomers are buying real estate in Palm Springs, California more and more these days, a PRWeb.com article said.

Brad Schmett, an expert in Palm Springs and La Quinta real estate commented, “November 1 marks the launch of our annual ‘season’ here in Palm Springs. We’re already seeing far more Canadians arrive to buy vacation properties and second homes than what we’re accustomed to at the start of our season.”

A strong Canadian dollar and a weak Southern California real estate market have made real estate in Palm Springs a good buy for Canadians looking to take advantage of market conditions.

“Many of my clients are Canadian baby boomers with a fair amount of cash to invest and they’re not totally comfortable with the stock market,” Schmett continues. “They look to Palm Springs real estate as their investment of choice because there are so many incredible properties available – at rock-bottom prices.”

Brad Schmett is a broker with over 25 years of business experience and caters to Canadian clientele.

Schmett added, “With my Canadian baby boomer clients, the trend is for them to sell their large, primary residence in Canada, move into a smaller property or condominium at home, and then buy a second home here in Palm Springs. They want to slow down and enjoy life more – and they see Palm Springs as a great place to retreat to with family and friends, especially during the blustery, cold Canadian winter.”

With real estate prices being the lowest in over ten years, and a high inventory in Palm Springs and La Quinta, Canadian buyers possess more options to invest or live in the area.

According to Schmett, “Canadians may never see the likes of this type of buying opportunity in our lifetimes again. Now is definitely a phenomenal time to buy Palm Springs real estate.”
